SOME HISTORY HERE....

Found a couple of old pix back in the late 60's, early 70's,when I was first messin' with this bike, bought it as a basket case originally, and put it together and ran it while working on my '62, but it was pretty worn out, leaking oil, smoking, so eventually it got torn down again.

Fabbed some struts for the back, dropping it down as low as I could go, and added 16" over tubes (from "Forking by Frank") up front:
Of course, that's me in this pix, I started messin' with bikes at an early age....

(it's my son Vincent, named after the 'Black Shadow'....)
This is my original '62 frame next to the '59. I made a hardtail out
of it that's a bit different, imitating the stance of the '59 without raking the neck with a 16" over glide up front....
Here's a couple pix of that '62 frame as I was setting it up, and after it was on the road (but still no paint).....
A buddy of mine has that 62 frame now, and working on getting it set up nicely! That bike always needed a springer, finally getting one!
Back to the '59 motor....

After taking the '59 motor apart, and buying an S&S 93" 'Sidewinder' setup, I bored the cylinders to take the 3-5/8" jugs, and clearanced the inside of the cases for the 4-1/2" flywheels.
Squared off the breather hole and degreed it with a degree wheel on the flywheels to S&S specs....
