More Fresh Paint and Reassembly

Put the motor top mounting bracket in...

Got these freshly painted parts, let's see if I can remember how they go....

Yeah, something like this...

Got some polish out and cleaned up that rear wheel...

And stuck it in just for grins....

Then I had to just walk around with a big SE grin on me face....

Plenty of room for a fatter tire under that fender,
We'll see just how much we can fit under there....

But needed to clean out the threads for the rear axle adjusting bolts....

Also picked up some new grade 8 bolts for the tranny mount plate...

Originally I was thinking of using a nut and jam nut for the two front bolts...
But finally found a local source for the SAE (fine) thread nylocks, so will go ahead with those...
The other two bolts for the rear thread directly into the frame mounts...

Here's the front with the nylocks...

And the rear....

Now to clean up and repaint that old sissy bar...

And the old wiring looks good, just needs a good cleanup...

Well, when I put the narrowed glide on the DM frame, and had buddies
push me around in front of the shop, it felt "RIGHT"....
And I'm slowly gettin' there....

More Later....
