Still looking at these fuel lines...

Decided to move that 90 on the fuel inlet to the
pressure regulator over to the front, and change it
to a 45...

And I think I'll change that straight fitting on the
inlet to the fuel filter to a 45 or a 90...

Put a 90 on the inlet side of the fuel filter

It will get mounted on the inner fender

This is the left side of the plenum
of an original '93 LT1

That hose and the lower fittings are
a crankcase vent system to the plenum
I'm going to keep them on the new system

I'll probably just plug the two upper holes for now

Two vacuum ports on the right side of the plenum,
I'll vent the new Optispark to one of these ports
on the new system, and just plug the other for now

Just for now, plugged one of the right side vacuum ports,
and put in a hose connector for the Optispark,
still might move that to the left side...

On the left side, plugged the two upper ports,
and ordered new parts for the crankcase
ventilation system

Finally learned that an MAP sensor is supposed to go here...

Checked with my local Napa store and they had this MAP in stock...
Supposed to be the right one for this motor...

But obviously I need some kind of seal, most likely an O-ring...
Will need to check around and try to find what is supposed to
be used to seal this....

Here's a pic of an original '93 LT1 MAP seal,
looks like some kind of sleeve...

I found an old original seal, but would much prefer to find a new one...
And new screws also...

Dug out the throttle body to install.....

And found it was missing a part underneath,
so now I need to find out what this is supposed
to be that's missing, and where to get it...

Found some 1/8" aluminum plate....

Cut a cover plate, now need shorter screws....

Found some ss allen head screws, but still a bit too long...

3 nuts on the screw, and cut off the stub,
and the length is just right....

Aluminum jaws to protect the screws, hack saw to cut it off...

Dressed up the cut ends with some emery paper, and good to go...

Perfect....

More Later....
